Workshop reference
Soňa Dubovská / SonchCreates.Art is registered with the Czech Assay Office as a manufacturer and seller of precious-metal goods. This page explains the marks used on eligible pieces and how Czech hallmarking requirements apply.
Registered maker’s mark · SD III/3
Identification mark
The maker’s mark SD III/3 is assigned to Soňa Dubovská and identifies SonchCreates.Art as the registered manufacturer responsible for the item.
A maker’s mark is an identification mark. It is not a state hallmark and does not, by itself, certify the fineness of the metal. Where official assay and hallmarking are required, the Czech Assay Office tests the item and applies the appropriate state hallmark.
SD III/3 tells you who made the piece. A Czech state hallmark, where required, records the result of the official assay.
Official reference
Under Czech law, new precious-metal goods are subject to mandatory assay and hallmarking unless a statutory exemption applies. The very-low-weight exemption currently covers an individual item containing no more than 3 g of silver, or no more than 0.5 g of gold or platinum.
Items above those limits are submitted to the Czech Assay Office where required. Items within the exemption remain subject to the applicable rules on legal fineness and identification or fineness marking.
Very-low-weight exemption per separate item.

Important: The limits refer to the precious-metal content of each separate item. Other statutory exemptions and special categories may also apply.

Material reference
Much of SonchCreates.Art is electroformed in copper or handmade from copper, bronze or brass. These are base metals, not precious metals, so Czech precious-metal hallmarking requirements do not apply. The materials used are always listed in the individual product description.
