Cicadas have such striking shapes, and this one brings together a lovely mix of colours and textures.
The pendant features a real Gaeana festiva cicada with an Ethiopian opal, an abalone cabochon and two small green onyx stones. The shimmer of the opal and abalone looks especially lovely against the deep green and dark copper.
The cicada is electroformed in pure copper, finished with a dark vintage patina and sealed with ProtectaClear.
Jewellery care
Jewellery care
To keep your jewellery looking its best, avoid prolonged contact with water, perfumes, cosmetics and household chemicals. Store it separately in a dry place and wipe gently with a soft cloth when needed.
Copper and patinated finishes naturally evolve over time, which is part of their character. Please see the full Jewellery Care guide for detailed advice.

Handmade & ethical sourcing
Handmade & ethical sourcing
Every piece is individually made and finished by hand, so small variations are part of its character.
Natural specimens, where used, are sourced from old collections, educational or scientific rejects, or found deceased where lawful. I do not use protected species. Some designs use high-quality replicas instead, and this is always stated in the product details.
